Lasallian student of the month for December

Congratulations to Katie Huber, who was selected as the Lasallian student of the month for December for living out the five Lasallian core principles!  Well done, Katie!

Lasallian Day of Prayer for Peace

On December 13 and 14, Lasallian Youth held its second annual lock in at O'Hara to observe an Advent Lasallian Day of Prayer for Peace.  The Day of Prayer for Peace was observed by young Lasallians throughout the world on October 26, but had to be moved at O'Hara due to other calendar problems.

Eight LY'ers attended this year, up from six last year.  After attending the fall/winter play, our prayers and reflections for and about acting for peace were focused around the Annunciation, Visitation, and the Nativity of the Lord.  We also watched and discussed "The Power of One" as a focus for acting on peacemaking.  On the morning of the 14th, we made breakfast as a community and then attended mass at St. Regis.

We hope to see you next year for our 3rd lock in!
